Paper Week. Fifth edition: April 7 – 13, 2025

The great campaign dedicated to information and education on paper and cardboard recycling, organized by Comieco, in collaboration with Federazione Carta e Grafica and Unirima, under the patronage of the Ministry of Environment and Energy Security and Anci, is back.

A week to get to know and learn more about the world of paper and cardboard recycling, full of free daily appointments – virtual and in-person – aimed at schools, citizens, professionals and opinion makers, because even today, when talking about the environment, it is difficult to be convinced that great global results are also obtained thanks to the attention and daily action of individuals.

The goal is to involve different audiences and tell with different languages and modes of engagement, how the separate collection of paper and cardboard that we make in our homes triggers a virtuous cycle by starting an effective and efficient industrial process that produces great results for the environment, the community and our economy.

Collateral initiatives

Alongside the events organized by Comieco (including talks, visits to plants in the recycling supply chain and activities on social networks) for the third year, the schedule is enriched by collateral initiatives proposed by those “on paper” who have something to tell and share: a constantly evolving calendar that will involve young and old throughout Italy!

The process of selecting the next Paper Recycling Capital is also underway: the city that will be elected will become the center of a rich palimpsest of initiatives to disseminate and raise awareness on the issues of separate collection and recycling of paper and cardboard addressed both to the institutional public (local and national) and to citizens as a whole, with a specific focus on schools.
